About Our Workshops
Basic Digital Storytelling WorkshopParticipants learn how to find, tell, create, and publish an autobiographical digital story in an encouraging, creative, and fun environment. The goal of the workshops is to provide all participants with the intellectual and technical skills necessary to independently create digital stories in their own work, school or personal endeavors. Starting with story theory and ending with technical skills, participants will create a 2-3 minute piece to take home on CD or DVD.
Place-based Digital Storytelling
This workshop includes training in digital storytelling techniques, but in addition to creating a digital story, you will learn how to geo-tag your story in a Google Maps/Google Earth placemark, add additional content, and share your map or collaborate with others on theirs.
Train-the-Trainers
This 1-day workshop is best suited for those already familiar with the digital storytelling process or with multi-media content creation. This workshop will provide training on how to implement a workshop for constituents.
